Black Power sticker. Great 8x2 old school Black Power sticker with upraised fist. Who can forget the '68 Olympics when Smith and Carlos raised their black gloved fists in Mexico City on the medal stand in response to the treatment of African Americans in the United States. Not me, I'll never forget it. I watched it go down on TV. I thought it was cool and appropriate, and I'm just a white girl from Minnesota. The media furor over it was ridiculous. The action was not disrespectful but a wake up call for America. Way to represent, Tommie Smith and John Carlos. Way to represent. You can see their statue at San Jose State University.
